Pierre Eade

Pastor of Outreach, Missions, Small Groups, Men's Ministries

Pastor Pierre was born in Olean, NY, a small town due south of Buffalo where he was raised along with his five older siblings. "As a kid, my dream was to play professional basketball. I fell a little short of that goal – probably 8 to 10 inches." Beyond basketball, Pierre was fond of learning French and had a natural inclination towards business. Upon graduating from college Pierre took a job with a pharmaceutical company in New Jersey. His first assignment was in Paris, France – a dream come true.

In November of 1998, when returning home to visit his family for Thanksgiving, Pierre was seated next to a missionary who shared the gospel with him throughout the seven-hour flight. "He kept sharing with me one Bible verse, 'If you confess with your mouth 'Jesus is Lord' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved.'" (Romans 10:9)

Although brought up going to church where he had learned about Jesus' death and resurrection, Pierre knew that his heart was not truly committed to Christ. "I had seen my oldest brother's life completely transformed by Christ and knew there was a difference between what he had and believed and the way I was living." His sister who had also become a born-again Christian had given him a 365-day Bible to read. "I had almost completed the whole book by the time I met the pastor on the flight."

"The pastor told me, 'There are only 18 inches between heaven and hell. It's the difference between your head and your heart.'" It was on that flight that Christ entered Pierre's heart and life and made him a new person. "I felt the change instantly. It was real. It was amazing. I knew at that moment that it was all true; Christ had truly died for my sins and rose again. I wanted to tell everyone!"

Pierre began growing in his walk with Christ and leading Bible studies in the workplace. A few years after his conversion to Christ, Pierre was introduced to his wife Amanda. "I sensed once I saw her that this was meant to be." Pierre and Amanda were married in 2003 and have three children. "I like to say about the children that I have two joys and a pearl" (two boys and a girl).

After twelve years of working in the corporate world as a project manager, leading projects valued over $1 million, Pierre felt a calling to full-time ministry. Pierre joined the Crossing on Easter Sunday 2010 as a full-time staff member. Pierre's life mission is "to inspire, educate and empower people to grow" in their walks with the Lord. He oversees the church's Outreach (foreign and local), small groups and Men's ministries. In 2013, Pierre received a Master of Arts degree from Liberty University in Evangelism and Church Planting.
