As shoebox gifts are distributed, local pastors or church leaders present the Gospel in a fun way designed for kids while family and friends listen in. Along with their shoebox gift, children also receive The Greatest Gift, a colorful presentation of the Gospel in their own language.
There are cardboard boxes available at the Operation Christmas table in the upper lobby. However, you can use an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap it, cover the box and lid separately.
Select a quality “wow” toy such as a doll, soccer ball with pump, or stuffed animal. Then add other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. There are labels available at the table to affix to the outside of the box, indicating whether contents are for a girl or boy and the age categories.
Our goal this year is to have 300 boxes filled. Help us reach our goal!
Watch for our Operation Christmas table beginning October 15th outside of the Chapel. Empty boxes and labels will be available at that time. All filled boxes are due Sunday, November 12th.
Thank you for your support.
