Ruth "grew up" in the church where her father served as the pastor. Ruth made a personal commitment to God at a early age and her relationship with God has continued to grow and mature.
An active member at Washington Crossing United Methodist Church for 20 years Ruth joined the pastoral staff in 2004. Her mission is to train, equip and release people to walk in wholeness and freedom rather than in wounding, carrying emotional baggage. Through Biblical-based teaching and practical applications, her goal is to introduce churches not only to the "God who saves," but also to the "God who heals."
Ruth oversees the Inner/Emotional Healing Ministry (Prayer and Care), Celebrate Recovery 12-step Ministry and the Woman's Ministry here at the Crossing.
Ruth played an instrumental role in the development of the Prayer and Care Ministry. She has developed guidelines and teaching modules currently being used. The Prayer and Care Team ministers emotional and spiritual healing to adults and children. She also does training/equipping workshops for other churches and leads woman's retreats.
Her commitment to serving God and equipping churches to demonstrate God's power and compassion is evident through her lifestyle of prayer and service.
Ruth is a certified Biblical Counselor through American Association of Christian Counselors and has also participated in various trainings offered through Elijah House, Cornerstone Christian Counseling and Ellel Ministries. She is currently enrolled at Walden University.
Ruth and her husband Mark have been married since 1984. They live with their five children, 2 cats, 1 dog, 1 fish and 2 rabbits in Stockton, NJ.
