Since the day Jen accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior in November 1987, at age 14, her life’s purpose has been to bring Glory to God and to share Him with others. God has revealed Himself to her and guided her on an awesome journey.
Jen transferred to Plumstead Christian School in order to involve the Lord in every aspect of her life. She attended Philadelphia Biblical University for three semesters and completed her undergraduate education at Eastern Mennonite University in VA.
Jen graduated in 1996 with at Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and in 2001 with a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Nova Southeastern University in Fla.
Although Jen grew up in Lambertville, NJ, she will always have a special place in her heart for Morningside Church in Port St. Lucie, Florida. This is where Jen’s professional educational experience began as a first grade teacher, tutor, and Middle School Volleyball and Softball coach. Throughout her 7 years at Morningside the Lord continually provided opportunities for Jen to be used to further His Kingdom by involvement in various ministries including Bible study leader, nursery worker, Christmas pageant participant, co-ed adult softball coach, Sunday School teacher and children’s ministry coordinator.
Jen jests, “church is a great place to meet people”, for this is where she met the love of her life, Jon Storz, in Morningside’s church membership class. Believe it or not, that was the day that they both knew their search for God’s perfect mate for them was over. They were married 11 months later at Morningside in March 1998. Three and a half years later God blessed them with their son, Jonathan, in October 2001. Jen’s deep love for children and for God was strengthened even more after Jonathan’s birth.
After 10 years of being away from “home” the Lord orchestrated Jen’s relocation back to the NJ/PA area not only to be in a closer proximity to her parents, but also to bring her to W.C.U.M.C-the church her parents attended. In 2005, Jen became a volunteer in W.C.U.M.C.’s children’s ministry. She served in the nursery and Sunday school program as well as taught at the W.C.C.S pre-school. In July 2007, Jen accepted the position of Children’s Ministry Director, where she continues to work to partner with families to raise totally devoted disciples of Jesus. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14. Jen believes the Lord is using her talents, heart’s desire, previous ministry opportunities, and life experiences to provide opportunities for every child to experience their Heavenly Father’s love for them in order that they may hear His voice, recognize His will for their lives, and walk in a personal relationship with Him.
